PACKAGE INCLUSIONS

What's Included?

It depends on the package you book, but ALL INTERSKI PACKAGES INCLUDE lift pass and insurance.

What Type of Accommodation Do You Offer?

Interski has a range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Choices include self-catering apartments and bed and breakfast packages. We also offer hotels with all meals included (including hot snack lunch on the mountain and wine with evening meals).

Do We Have To Use Your Insurance?

Insurance is included as an integral part of our package, so there is unfortunately no discount for not taking it. However, it doesn't cover anyone who hasn't been resident in the UK for at least 6 of the last 12 months - in this instance we will deduct £10.

Equipment

Is it possible to rent a ski suit?

Our in-house brand, Snowco, offers the hire of Animal ski suits. The suits are pre-ordered in the UK and then delivered to the hotel prior to your arrival. They are then collected at the end of the stay. Children aged 7-15 years and clients on Learn to Ski packages qualify for FREE ski suit rental.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

The wearing of helmets is a legal requirement for anyone under the age of 14. Interski can provide helmet hire via our in-house brand, Interski Rental Wear and Accessories. The current cost of helmet hire is £10 for the week.

Does Interski offer ski hire upgrades?

Yes, we have an excellent brand new range of 'prestige' Atomic skis. These can be pre-booked for a supplement of £25 on top of the hire charge of £52 for our standard skis.

Children

Does Interski offer discounts for children?

Children aged 7-15 years qualify for £50 discount on all full week packages. They will also receive FREE ski, boot, ski suit and helmet hire. Children under 7 travel at 50% of the brochure price but would need to hire equipment etc if required. Infants (under 2) travel for just £50. Prices are based on the age of the child on the day of return.

Are there crèche Facilities available?

Yes, all three resorts have excellent crèche facilities. Local ski schools will also accept children under 7 years of age. We can put you in touch with both so that you can book directly with them.

Coach Packages

How long is the coach journey?

The Aosta Valley is one of the closest overland ski areas. It is just 10/11 hours overland from Calais. Both journeys are overnight and breakfast is included en route in each direction. Blankets and pillows are provided - yours to keep.

How does the coach journey work?

Coaches depart the UK on a Saturday, catching an evening ferry from Dover to Calais. A breakfast stop (included in the cost of your package) is provided early on the Sunday morning. Clients normally arrive in resort round about lunchtime on the Sunday. Skiing takes place from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Rooms for showering will be made available on the final day. Coaches will depart the valley for an early morning ferry on the Sunday (breakfast again provided) before travelling onwards. Blankets and pillows are provided – they're yours to keep. 6 nights' accommodation is provided.

Where do coaches pick up from?

This varies from week to week. If you have a party of 10 or more, we will pick you up from wherever you choose. Smaller parties may need to travel to meet a coach (we will do our best to pick you up as close to home as possible). We also offer discounted parking at Dover, if required.

How do I organise discounted parking at Dover?

Off-site parking is available through Relyon – simply book on line at www.relyongroup.co.uk. The cost for the 2015/16 season is £4 a day. Type 'INTERSKI' into the tour operator box to qualify for the discount.

Short Breaks

Short stays – when can I travel?

You can travel ANY DAY of the week. Ski for 2 or 3 days, and stay for 3 or 4 nights. Our popular short break packages include your accommodation, meals (depending on board basis), lift pass, insurance, equipment and ski suit hire. We can organise return transfers for £80 per person from Geneva or Turin. Simply book your own flights and we'll take care of the rest!

Is there a child discount for short breaks?

Unfortunately not, as all costs remain the same regardless of age on short breaks and we've included lots of extras free of charge, to make these the most convenient and flexible packages available.

Can we have a different transfer price depending on our group size?

The transfer price is fixed per person and remains the same regardless of group size, due to our using different vehicle types where possible to suit the number of people being collected or dropped off – therefore not affecting the costs involved.

Groups & Corporate

Do you offer any group discounts?

You will qualify for one free holiday for every 10 full paying passengers booked. If you have a party of 20 or more full paying passengers, additional benefits may be available – please call for details.

Do you offer corporate/incentive packages?

We are delighted to welcome corporate groups and there's definitely nowhere better to bring people together! Just let us know your requirements and we'll tailor-make a package to suit.

Special Requirements

Can you cater for special diets?

Yes, but we will require advance notification. For anyone requiring a gluten-free diet, we do suggest that they take with them supplies of suitable pasta, pizza base, bread rolls etc as they are not as readily available in Italy.

Tuition

I've never skied before – do you offer Learn to Ski packages?

We love to introduce new people to this fabulous sport so offer Learn to Ski courses EVERY week of the season. For £125 you will receive 5 days x 2 hours expert tuition, FREE ski and boot hire, FREE Animal ski suit hire and FREE helmet hire. You'll soon be hooked!

Am I able to have private tuition?

Yes, private tuition is available at very competitive prices. We do recommend pre-booking the first few hours, adding in extra lessons in resort if you wish. It is available on a 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 or maximum 1:4 basis. Please refer to website for current prices.

What sort of instruction do you offer for children?

We can provide junior group lessons for children aged 7-15 years. These are for 6 days x 4 hours + lunchtime supervision. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept children under the age of 7 years, other than on a private lesson basis. Alternatively, the local ski schools may be able to assist, or there are excellent crèches in all our resorts.

To what level are your instructors qualified?

All instructors are qualified to a minimum BASI Level 2, or national equivalent. They are all English-speaking.

Are there any age restrictions when it comes to instruction?

We regret we are unable to accept children under the age of 7 into our ski school unless you have a viable, self-contained group. We can also provide private 1:1 tuition for £40 an hour, or all our resorts have kindergartens and local ski schools.

Making Your Booking

What is the payment schedule?

It's nice and simple. A £75 non-refundable deposit for those travelling by coach, or £250 for those travelling by air. The balance falls due 10 weeks prior to departure. You are welcome to pay in instalments if you wish. Please note there is a 2% charge to pay your balance (but not deposit) on a credit card. There is no charge for debit card payments.

When is the latest I can add someone to my booking?

Subject to availability, you can add a passenger up to a week before departure.

What do I need to do if someone cancels?

You should notify your Account Manager as soon as possible, but if you think there is a possibility of finding a replacement, then that's not a problem and there is no charge to do so if you are travelling by coach. If you are travelling by air, then the applicable airline fee would apply.

What are Interski's cancellation charges?

Up to 10 weeks prior to departure : Deposit only is forfeited
Between 10 – 5 weeks prior to departure : 50% is forfeited
Between 5 – 1 week prior to departure : 75% is forfeited
Within 1 week of departure : 100% is forfeited

If the cancellation is for an insurable reason, then the forfeited amount can be claimed on insurance, less any applicable excess and insurance premium costs.

Everything Else

Can I make my own arrangements for getting to resort?

You are welcome to get yourself to resort. Self-drive packages are normally for 6 nights – deduct £70 from the applicable coach price. If you organise your own flight (normally 7 nights), then deduct £150 from the applicable air price. Transfers from Geneva or Turin are included on own flight packages.

How snow-sure are Interski resorts?

All three of our resorts are high and have exceptional snow records, both early and late season.

What is there for non-skiers to do?

There is plenty for non-skiers to do in the Aosta Valley – we'll be delighted to offer advice. Or why not persuade them to join in the fun on one of Learn to Ski packages which are available every week of the season?

What accreditation does Interski have?

Interski is an ABTA member (V6114) and an ATOL holder (1409).
