Chill Factore, the UK's ultimate real
snow, indoor Alpine village and Interski,
the UK's leading independent ski tour
operator, played host to two
highly successful Teachers Evenings
on 19/20 May 2008.
The original plan was for one evening,
but it proved SO popular, a
second had to be added!
A huge thank you to all those who attended and we hoped you enjoyed the evening(s) as
much as we did.
A brief welcome from Chill Factore's Andrew Johnson, was followed by a short talk about
Interski and a viewing of a promotional DVD to whet the appetite. Then it was time for
the teachers to don skis, boots and ski suits and take to the impressive 180m slope for
an hour and a half's skiing time. To warm them up afterwards, a traditional Lancashire
hot pot with red cabbage and a steaming glass of 'vino caldo' were served in the alpine
Eiger restaurant. There were prizes galore in the complimentary raffle with the top prize
of
a £300 AMG/Rossignol voucher going to North Cestrian Grammar School (Monday) and
Ashley School (Tuesday). Chill Factore also provided 3 pairs of complimentary lift passes.
We are delighted to be working in close collaboration with Chill Factore and its excellent
facilities. Chill Factore will form part of our Ski and Save scheme for the 2008/2009
season, details of
which will be available shortly.
Chill Factore opened in November 2007 and is an incredible 'Alpine' venue for
snowsports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
It has already hosted, trained and prepared thousands of students from hundreds of
schools for their winter sports courses in Europe.
Chill Factore has also introduced a fully comprehensive 'summer camp' programme of
events which feature fun luge and tube sessions, as well as ski and snowboard training
and a very popular climbing wall.
