Suggestions on how to increase interest

Help from Interski
- Interski would be happy to send a resort team member or instructor along to a school assembly, not only to promote the ski trip, but also to explain about what their own role entails, in the hope of increasing motivation to take part in sports or follow a career in the snowsports industry. For obvious reasons, this would need to take place between May - November.
- Interski will be happy to provide posters and other display materials which you could up around the school/college to attract interest.
- Interski can provide you with a draft letter/flyers to advertise the trip.
- Interski would be delighted to send someone down to talk to the party leader and/or students about a prospective ski trip. This could be on a 1:1 basis, a group basis or whole school assembly.
Get the students involved
- Why not ask student who've been on previous ski trips to write short testimonials about the experience, put a sheet together to distribute to interested parties or do a short, fun presentation about the trip?
- Get the students to visit our website to see what other young people thought of their Interski experience last winter.
- Gather interested students together and show the latest Interski DVD (we'll be delighted to send you a copy or you can view on-line.
- Display photos from previous ski trips around the school with posters supplied by Interski - what about a caption competition?
- You could make a video of your next ski trip which you could use to promote the following year's trip. Your Course Co-ordinator would be delighted to help out. And why not get the students involved in editing and producing it when you get back?
- Why not start a Ski Club and take the students along to your nearest dry or indoor slope for a taster session before promoting the trip? They're bound to be hooked and we all know how much better it is on real snow! Don't forget that, when you book with Interski, we have a Ski and Save Scheme - ask for details.
Persuading the parents
- Parents worried a ski trip isn't educational? Just watch a student's confidence and independence blossom. Then there's the foreign language, new foods, geography, history as well as the fresh air, exercise and learning of a new skill.
- Parents reluctant to commit, fearing redundancy? Don't forget that redundancy is covered on Interski's winter sports insurance. Just ask for more details.
- Why not invite parents to come along and join in the fun? They get the same great package at the same price as the students.
If you have any other novel ideas which may help other party leaders, we'd be delighted to hear them!
