Why did we choose the Aosta Valley and,
more importantly, the three resorts of Courmayeur, Pila and La Thuile?
Could it have been because it's one of the
closest overland snowsport areas to the UK?
Could it have been because it's home to four
of Europe's highest mountains, and benefits
from excellent snow records?
Could it have been the stunning scenery that
simply left us speechless?
Could it have been that this area is
geographically and historically fascinating?
Could it have been because the Aosta Valley borders France and Switzerland, creating a delightful
blend of Italian and French?
Could it have been for the delicious regional food and the overwhelming friendliness, warmth and
welcome of the local people?
It was all of this and much, much more.
Oh, and the 2006 Winter Olympics?
Held within a stone's throw - surely that speaks volumes!
The Aosta Valley, North West Italy, is located on the sunny side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel, just an
hour from the airports of Geneva or Turin and only 10/11 hours overland from Calais. It is a natural
environment of breathtaking beauty, steeped in history and tradition. Interski has chosen to base
its operation in just three of the area's most awe-inspiring resorts - Courmayeur, Pila and La Thuile - each with its own individual charm.
Our concentration in this one area means that our presence and product knowledge is unequalled. The skiing? It's simply amazing!
