Snowboard Leader Course
The Snowboard Leader course is designed to train and qualify responsible snowboarders to safely lead groups of snowboarders within ski patrolled areas. The award is primarily aimed at teachers, youth group leaders and other responsible adults wishing to encourage and supervise young snowboarders. Further details are available from the Snowsport Scotland website.
Interski will be running one Snowboard Leader Course this winter, commencing Sunday 11 December 2011 with an evening lecture. The course will be tutored by Michael Bates, a highly acclaimed Snowsport Scotland tutor. The cost of the course is £799 and includes the following:
- Transport from Geneva airport to resort
- 7 nights half-board hotel accommodation on twin (occasionally triple) shared basis
- 6 day lift pass
- Winter sports insurance
- Lunch vouchers for use on mountain
- Board and boot hire, if required
- Course booklets
Please note that you will need to make your own arrangements to get to Geneva airport for collection before 15.00 pm wherever possible. When booking your return flights, please be aware that the course may not be completed until 18.00 hrs on the last day so it is best to book flights for the morning of Sunday 18 December. If, however, you are able to get a return flight on the Saturday evening (after 20.30 hours), we will deduct £30 from the cost of the course as you would be accommodated for one night less.
nb nb : Registration fees with Snowsport School are payable directly prior to the course commencing. Course is subject to viable numbers of candidates. Only 8 spaces available per course. Accommodation is based on twin (occasionally triple, depending on group composition) occupancy.
