5 Star - Skiing
SKILLS
* Good posture and balance
* Good range of movements which can
be applied to a variety of turns
* Control of skills at higher speeds,
steeper slopes and variable terrain
* Perform short radius turns showing good timing and rhythm
* Perform long radius turns showing good timing and rhythm
* Perform higher speed long radius turns showing good crossover and range of
movements
* Ski bump run showing good control of speed and line
* Ski black run showing ability to utilise terrain and apply a full range of skills
* Good use and control of all the fundamental elements
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
* Synchronised ski (3 people) - (10 turns minimum). Emphasis on rhythm and timing
* Charleston turns (6 or more)
* Short swings on steeper slope maintaining constant speed and rhythm
* Ski variety of terrain in all conditions
The Interski 5 Star Award is equivalent to an 8 or 9 star on the Snowlife Snowsport
