A recently renovated 19th century
building
on the banks of the River Dora,
the Tavernier
is traditionally alpine and
really rather
charming and cosy with its
log fires, comfy
chairs and abundance of
dried flowers. Add to

the centre
of Courmayeur (300m) and its
stunning
views of Mont Blanc and the
Tavernier is
the perfect base for your stay

Aosta Valley.
Rooms are large and spacious, some
apartment style (very nice!) and have
private
facilities, TV, mini-bar and
telephone. The spa
complex has a
relaxation room, sauna, small
pool with massage jets, waterfall (!),
two
jacuzzis, changing rooms and
showers, as well
as great views up to
the mountains and the
river. Please
note that charges apply (special
rates for Interski clients) and are
payable
directly to the hotel.
Snow conditions permitting, you can ski right
back to within easy walking distance of
the
hotel. The new lift from Dolonne to Plan Chécrouit is also just a short walk away.
Parking is available (a small supplement applies). Although within walking distance,
the main cable car can also be easily accessed by the FREE regular shuttle bus which
stops directly outside the hotel (it leaves every
half an hour and takes just 5 minutes).
We have it on good authority from our clients
and staff that the Christmas and New
Year
meals at the Tavernier are simply the best in
the valley (and the Easter Sunday
one is
pretty spectacular too!).
